NBA Summer League is still in full swing, but the first weekend usually accounts for the vast majority of buzz coming out of Las Vegas. With players, coaches, league executives, agents and team beat reporters all gathered in the same place, it’s a prime opportunity for networking, basketball conversation and, of course, keeping that rumor mill churning.

This year, the Phoenix Suns are at the forefront of all that conjecture thanks to their stunning Game 7 playoff failure, all the ongoing Kevin Durant trade rumors and Deandre Ayton’s murky future in the Valley — and that’s without even mentioning Devin Booker’s super-max contract extension or landing the cover of NBA 2K23.

The PHNX Suns crew made the trip out to Sin City and were able to talk to a number of players, league insiders and more. NBA insider David Aldridge has been around the NBA for a long time, and he gave PHNX his prediction for KD’s next destination, talked about Ayton’s tepid market in free agency, spoke on his confusion over Phoenix’s Game 7 meltdown and a whole lot more.
